so you made a few mistakes in your day
drank a few drinks of koolaid

cuz i did the same
but today i could safely say
that i'm on a roll and i'm on the road
to something resembling redemption
nevertheless it's always a day away
but hey, it's better to be eternally on the way
than stuck in one place

i know that you wanna get better
but your brain aches
so you lay awake until day breaks
bumpin james blake but you can't escape
so you take xans and i understand
cuz when my head was like azkaban
i would abra kadabra alprazolam
but all that that was was just another crutch
that kept me numb for a couple months
but as your tolerance builds
you may find yourself swallowin pills by the handful
instead of lettin it get to that tho
let's accept the fact
that the dizziness may never go away
but maybe we can learn to live with it
and thus keep it at bay
sans benzos and barbiturates
and we'll look back and reminisce of the days
when we were....
